Bibliogoddess (#0652)
This ideas was suggested by Pam Brown of Sebastopol, California. A book goddess, similar to my Rubber Stamp Goddess, she would be holding books in her many arms. I chose a standing pose for this one, based loosely on the Tibetan goddess Bodhisattva Manjusri. In her 8 arms she holds different kinds of books, including a papyrus scroll and a stone tablet. An accordian book is held over her head, and her earrings represent papyrus plants. The pages of the large book on which she stands represent water and trees. Water is used to make pulp from the tree for paper.
