The most damaged exterior wall faces Southeast and gets both full sun and the brunt of our winter storms. Old nails have rusted out holes in the siding, some of which has fallen off. The siding here is a different type than the rest of the building, indicating that it has already been replaced before. I've sprayed red rust-preventing primer into the rusty holes, and my contractor is going to help patch it back together using pieces from other parts of the building. The bottom row of siding has been removed from all sides and will be flashed, caulked and replaced with new siding.
