Son of a Drum

I made this cake today for the Ink People's fundraiser event dessert-as-art contest, the theme was Samba. My friend John helped me deliver it, and asked while driving "what's the name of your cake entry?" I said Samba Drum but he thought I said "Son of a Drum" and the name stuck. It's six layers tall, weighs about 25 pounds, has 2 inner plastic plates and 8 wooden dowels and won three prizes - woo hoo! The little tiny cake is a taster for the esteemed judges.
